Hello, I’m
Daniel Murphy,
and I am a lifelong Tucsonian and carpenter. It has always been my dream to bring high-quality carpentry to the Southwest—honoring our region’s unique architecture and style while maintaining integrity, precision, and attention to detail.
With an eye for art and design, I create projects that are not only durable but also beautiful and functional. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats—working in residential contracting, landscaping, tree trimming, solar, and electrical. These experiences have given me a well-rounded understanding of construction, but my true passion has always been woodworking. Now, I’m dedicated to my craft, focusing on custom pieces and fine finish work that will stand the test of time.
I look forward to working with you on your next project!

The Miramonte Project
Finished in early September 2025 and created by the restaurateur duo Deborah Tenino and Nick Kreutz, Miramonte restaurant sought to bring back mid-century modern with touches of brutalism. The white walls with concrete floors and a ceiling-high concrete fireplace were a backdrop to the luxurious warmth of dark teak and ornamental light fixtures.
The bar has floor-to-ceiling tongue-and-groove teak that sweeps from the front of the bar leading to the back entrance.
The bar cabinet is made from African mahogany and finished with a glaze to give it a near-perfect match to the surrounding teak. It also features dimmable LED lighting inset into the bottle shelves and on the underside to give lighting onto the countertop.
The bar also features 4 floating tables with matching bench seating, all made from solid African mahogany with half-round tambour as its backdrop.
The restaurant has four booths to mirror the bar side and is trimmed out in African mahogany and stained to match the warm aesthetic of the teak.
This was an exciting project that allowed me to showcase my talents and eye for detail as well as find creative solutions to make a truly one-of-a-kind job.

Miramonte, completed in September 2025, is a refined blend of mid-century modern and brutalist design, highlighted by custom teak and African mahogany finishes. The project showcases precision craftsmanship and creative problem-solving, resulting in a one-of-a-kind restaurant environment.
